The Role
As the Indirect Procurement Specialist, you will take ownership of the end-to-end sourcing process for a variety of indirect spend categories, including IT, Professional Services, Marketing, HR, and Facilities. You will act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, ensuring that procurement strategies align with broader business goals, mitigate risk, and deliver significant cost savings without compromising on quality or service.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing: Lead the end-to-end tender process (RFx) from market analysis and supplier identification through to contract award and implementation.

Category Management: Develop and execute robust procurement strategies across key indirect categories (IT software/hardware, Marketing agencies, HR services, and Facilities management).

Stakeholder Engagement: Partner closely with department heads and budget holders to understand their requirements, challenge the status quo, and guide them through optimal procurement practices.

Contract Negotiation: Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to maximize ROI and minimize commercial risk.

Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Monitor and manage ongoing vendor performance, conducting regular business reviews and driving continuous improvement.

Compliance & Process Improvement: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with internal policies. Identify opportunities to streamline procurement workflows and enhance ERP system utilization.
About You

Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of dedicated procurement experience, specifically focusing on indirect spend categories within a corporate environment.

Qualifications: Degree educated. CIPS qualification (or working towards it) is highly desirable.

Negotiation Skills: A proven track record of negotiating complex contracts and delivering demonstrable cost savings.

Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build consensus among senior stakeholders and external partners.

Analytical Mindset: Strong commercial acumen and data analysis skills, capable of turning spend data into actionable sourcing strategies.
