DarcyBrook Procurement & Supply are working with a thriving manufacturing business who are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join their purchasing team.
This is a fantastic entry-to-mid-level opportunity where you will gain hands-on experience across the entire supply chain. Working alongside experienced procurement professionals, you will support the sourcing of raw materials, components, and services that keep our production lines moving.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase Order Management: Raise, issue, and track Purchase Orders (POs) for raw materials, components, and tooling in line with production schedules.
- Supplier Expediting: Proactively chase suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials, identifying and resolving potential delays before they impact manufacturing.
- Inventory & Stock Control: Monitor stock levels and collaborate with the warehouse and production teams to prevent material shortages while minimising excess stock.
- Invoice & Query Resolution: Investigate and resolve any supplier invoice discrepancies, price mismatches, or quality/delivery issues.
- Sourcing Assistance: Support Senior Buyers with running Requests for Quotations (RFQs), analysing supplier data, and benchmarking costs to find savings.
